In the beginning of my engagement with photography was photorealistic painting.
I didn’t like that i had to work with the photographs of other people. That’s why i started to do my own. First I wanted to capture exciting visuell impressions and later I wanted to make a statement.
With this medium it pulls me more into abstraction.
Potographie is a welcome change to the sometimes exhausting “wegger-art”, which takes me often weeks for one painting.
The interaction of those medias is very interesting.

My paintings are sometimes the base for finding compositions with the camera. From taking photographs to paint now I also paint to take photographs.
